The Boys & Girls Club of Hawthorne has been at the forefront when it comes to meeting the needs of our community’s youth since 1947. During these very challenging times, our Boys & Girls Club continues to be a safe haven and beacon of hope for the 1,700 youth members we serve. The Club provides a nurturing environment and is open when children need us most, pre-school ,after-school, evenings, weekends and summer break. Our Club programs continue to promote and enhance the development of youth by instilling each child a sense of competence, usefulness, and belonging.
2024 marks a special milestone as we not only celebrate our 77th year serving the youth of our Borough we are celebrating our 50th year in our main clubhouse. As a lifelong Club kid, I have great memories of the grand opening of our new facility back in 1974 after spending years in the Rea Mansion on Goffle Road.
